National Stapler Day is a promotion from Acme that recognizes the important role staplers play in people’s lives. The site provides a higher degree of interactivity than usually found in this category and has gained fame beyond the site, with 300,000+ fans on our Facebook page. Users can play a series of games that allow them to win prizes. The “Guess How Many Staples” game was a particular favorite, with over two million views. Everything on the site is sharable and links back to Acme’s Facebook page. There is a built-in Twitter API so that users can tweet their high scores to their friends. The Stapler Art Show, a continuation of a contest begun on the acme.com site has also proven popular with fans, with over 1.3 million page views.
