ENTRIES ARE NOW CLOSED. THE HIVE AWARDS CEREMONY IS FRIDAY MARCH 12TH. DETAILS HERE

Before you begin, you need to collect some information about your entry and what you want to include in your entry form.

  • Any urls associated with your entry. If your entry is an application or some code, you probably want to set up a private site where our judges will be able to download it. Make sure the urls work and that whatever you’re linking to works on both Macs and PCs. If your entry requires a user name, a password, a (free) discount code, or an NDA, you'll want to get those together too.
  • Up to three screen shots. You may enter up to three screen shots or other visuals as JPGs. (one page per JPG, please.) You can even annotate them.
  • 200 words (1500 characters) on why your entry should win. This is going to be what the judges see and what they’ll be looking for when they view your entry. Best to take some time with this and craft it carefully. So if you coding skills are better than your writing skills, you might want to enlist someone who can help.
  • Names and titles of everyone who deserves credit. If you’re flying solo, that’s an easy one. But for group projects, you want to be sure you don’t leave anyone out.
  • Method of payment. We take all major credit cards, as well as wire transfers and company checks. (We're working on integrating PayPal.) Your entry isn’t valid until payment is received, so you’ll want to take care of this up front. (The entry fee is $29 for blog and podcast entries and $179 for all other entries, in case you'd like to calculate your total beforehand.)
